House of Job's dedication to protecting your privacy

The Privacy Statement for House of Job was developed because we value our users and respect their right to privacy. The House of Job website (including versions published on desktop, mobile, tablet, and any subdomains) is referred to in this privacy statement as the "Site" and is covered by the procedures described in this statement regarding information collection and dissemination. In order to better serve our users and better tailor our services to them, House of Job gathers Personal Information and Personal Data from Site visitors. This is done for two reasons, which are detailed below. We will only use the Personal Information and Personal Data that we have collected from you in ways that are consistent with this Privacy Statement. This Privacy Statement has been prepared by House of Job Private Limited (Company Registration Number 289648/78/079).


Definitions

In this Privacy Statement:

  • Any reference to “House of Job”, “we”, “us” and “our” includes a reference to House of Job Private Limited and each of House of Job’s affiliated companies.
  • An "Advertiser" is a person or organization that publishes job advertisements on our website or uses other products to find potential Candidates for open positions;
  • The terms "Candidates" and "Registered Users" refer to visitors to the site respectively;
  • Unless otherwise stated, "visitors," "users," or "you" refer to only Candidates, Registered Users, or Advertisers; "Users" refers to users who otherwise subscribe for House of Job products, services, or information provided on the Site; "Privacy Act" refers to the Privacy Act of 2022;

  • House of Job also gathers non-personal information on users' visits to the site, such as the most popular pages and how frequently they are visited. To offer House of Job partners with information about how visitors to House of Job "use" the Site, this data is occasionally utilized as aggregated, non-Personal Information. This is done for the aim of providing you with the greatest and most efficient career management and recruitment services.


    Cookies

    To give Candidates a better browsing experience and to customize the advertisements from House of Job or from our business partners that appear (on the Site or other websites) to your browsing preferences and/or your House of Job Profile, (as defined below). These applets and cookies gather non-personal information, such as preferences and click activity, for measurement purposes and to enable services like "Auto Login" (if you have selected this option).
    In order to improve website performance, make business choices, assist with issue reporting, facilitate online payments, and test new functionality, House of Job cookies and scripts in relation to Advertisers. These scripts and cookies gather non-personal information, such as preferences and click activity, for measurement and features like "Auto Login," which remembers your information (provided you have chosen this option). You can "opt out" by changing the privacy settings in your browser if you do not want cookies to be active while you access the site. However, doing so will restrict your use of some House of Job services and block access to some areas of the Site.
    House of Job uses third-party measurement providers to analyze site and mobile site traffic in order to better understand our users. The following data on Site usage is gathered through the use of a tracking code:

  • The number of page views (or page impressions) on the website;
  • the number of unique visitors to the website;
  • the average amount of time spent on the website by these unique visitors when they do visit; and

  • In order to aid in the analysis of the Site's usage, House of Job receives this aggregated, non-Personal Information. In order to do market comparisons with other Internet websites, media organizations and research firms can also access this data.


    Collecting information on Registered Users

    In order for Registered Users to fully utilize House of Job's services, we collect Personal Information from them as part of the registration process. In order to accomplish this, Registered Users will need to give House of Job more information.


    Registration

    You may access more tools, services, and information that might help you find work by signing up as a Registered User. You must provide certain Personal Information, such as your name and email address, in order to register as a user. By selecting "Settings" from the "the Site" menu, you can access your information at any moment. Additionally, House of Job may use your data to personalize the services you receive from us. For instance, House of Job might use this data to develop a House of Job Profile that you could subsequently choose to use. But we'll never turn on this House of Job Profile (or any other service) without getting your explicit approval.


    Other information House of Job may collect

    By gathering and analyzing information about your use of, or interaction with, the goods and services provided on the Site, House of Job may also be able to learn more about your job-related needs, traits, and priorities (including, by way of example, usage patterns around how regularly you update your profile or how often you submit job applications). The purposes listed in this privacy statement include, but are not limited to, better tailoring House of Job's offerings to your job needs, providing more targeted services to Advertisers and to Candidates, enabling more targeted job opportunities to be surfaced to Candidates, and creating "signals" to Advertisers that you may be more or less a Candidate (Approachability Signal).     Job Mail

    Job Mail is a free service that Registered Users can use. In order to email Registered Users about jobs that match their set criteria, House of Job needs that Registered Users supply their email address and information about their employment preferences.
    By choosing to do so when looking for jobs on the Site, users of the Site can sign up for Job Mail without creating a House of Job Profile and becoming a Registered User. If you choose to subscribe to Job Mail in this way, House of Job will store and use any Personal Information you give us when setting up your Job Mail subscription in the same way as if you were a Registered User.


    Storing resumes

    When applying for jobs or to complement their House of Job Profile, registered users can save resumes in their "Profile" area. A resume that has been deleted from the "Profile" section is no longer available to Registered Users. For a while, House of Job may continue to keep deleted records in testing or backup systems.
    When resumes are stored in testing environments, they are kept there in private, secure locations, and the data is only utilized for internal software testing. Only information necessary for backing up systems in the case of a data loss is stored in backup systems. If you select a stored resume as your default resume, House of Job may employ an algorithm to compare you to other candidates for jobs that are surfaced to you during a job search or in other ways through House of Job products using that resume and other factors. This evaluation may be displayed to you while you are browsing a job advertisement and may also be displayed to Advertisers as House of Job's evaluation of your appropriateness to a position that an Advertiser is attempting to fill.


    House of Job Profile

    A House of Job profile may include a resume, a history of employment and education, contact information, expectations for a starting wage, and chosen job categories and locations. This information can be entered manually on your House of Job profile or it can be filled out for you based on the responses you gave to interview questions. Your House of Job profile is always editable.

    1. Advertisers can use the Profile database on House of Job to locate and get in touch with suitable candidates. All Registered Users will be prompted to build a personal House of Job Profile (the "House of Job Profile") after registering by entering the necessary data and choosing one of the privacy options listed below. When a candidate initially applies for a job on the Site, they will also be required to construct a House of Job Profile. The following options are available to registered users to choose how much of their House of Job Profile they want to share with advertisers:

    2. Registered Users may edit their House of Job Profile before applying in cases where doing so will involve sending the Advertiser any or all of your profile (see the section below under "In some cases, forwarding your House of Job Profile with an application will be required").

    By visiting the Site's Profile section, registered users can update their resume at any moment as well as their privacy settings for their House of Job profile. You must remove your whole account with House of Job in order to erase your House of Job Profile. A House of Job Profile may be disabled at any time, for any reason, by House of Job (for example if information is found or believed to be untrue or being stored for improper purposes).


    Online Applications

    The process of applying online to a job posting on House of Job is free and voluntary, but candidates must fill out all required elements (such as first and last name, phone number, resume, and email) in order for the advertiser to recognize and get in touch with them. Candidates who do not already have a House of Job Profile will be required to create one when applying for a job, using the information in their application. You can change your House of Job Profile here afterwards. Additionally, registered users will quickly be able to connect a saved resume. The applications you submit, along with any attachments and cover letters, in response to a job posting on the website are:

  • Directly supplied to the advertiser and/or its designated agent; or
  • stored on the advertiser's behalf in the House of Job Advertiser Center. Through a single, central location made available by House of Job, the Advertiser Center at House of Job enables Advertisers to handle their recruitment process quickly and efficiently.

  • In order to tailor the service, we offer to Candidates, House of Job will also save this information. In addition, some marketers could ask you to respond to a set of questions as part of your online application. By responding to the application questions, you agree that House of Job may share your responses with the advertiser and use them to fill out your House of Job profile and make that data visible to advertisers through talent search. Your responses may also be used by House of Job to enhance our offerings, for as by enhancing search and matching functionality. By submitting an application for a position listed on House of Job, you authorize House of Job to forward the relevant Advertiser and/or their designated representative with the information you give. You should contact the advertiser or their designated agent directly, not House of Job, with any questions you may have about a position that has been posted on House of Job, your online application, and/or the status of your application. A saved resume or cover letter may be disabled or removed at House of Job's discretion. House of Job requests that advertisers follow all pertinent rules pertaining to the handling of Personal Information. House of Job has no control over how these Advertisers may use your information (personal or otherwise), hence we are unable to assume liability for their actions.
    Candidates have the right to request access to any Personal Information that has been received as part of an application or given to them as part of a House of Job Profile by contacting Advertisers directly.


    In some circumstances, sending your House of Job Profile with an application will be required.

    You may be asked to disclose part or all of your House of Job Profile with the Advertiser in order to apply for certain job openings. When this is necessary, your online application and some or all of your House of Job Profile (which can include information submitted by you in connection with your employment, educational history, contact details, minimum salary expectations, and preferred job classifications and locations) will be shared with the Adviser regardless of the privacy setting you chose when creating your House of Job Profile (whether it be Standard, Limited, or Hidden as set forth above). When your House of Job Profile will be a part of your application, House of Job will let you know. Additionally, House of Job will outline which components of your House of Job Profile will be forwarded together with your application to the Advertiser. Before submitting your application, you can always edit your House of Job profile here.


    Advertisers

    The company name, mailing address, and billing address of Advertisers are all collected by House of Job. Additionally, it gathers the primary contact's name, contact information (sometimes known as the "administrator" on the site), and phone number. The name and email address of any additional users that advertisers decide to add to their accounts will be collected by House of Job. Additionally, House of Job might gather a mobile phone number from each advertiser user. House of Job would utilize this number to sporadically send a text message to the user as verification, aiding in the security of the advertiser's account. Advertisers can email info@houseofjobnp.com to update the firm name or billing address, and info@houseofjobnp.com to change any other details. Please refer to the Help Page if you want to modify the cellphone number used to confirm a user account for an advertiser. These details are used by House of Job to administer your account and support account security, including forwarding applications from Candidates to Advertisers, getting in touch with Advertisers when there is a problem with their job ad, and managing payment and invoicing of the account.


    Communications to and from House of Job

    In email exchanges, such as our email monthly or yearly "House of Job News Update," House of Job may also give you carefully chosen information regarding job placement and career-related topics. Additionally, House of Job may occasionally call you. You consent to House of Job contacting you on goods and services you've bought or used as well as to promote other goods and services. The "Settings" section of the site allows registered users to "opt-out" of getting promotional emails from House of Job. Otherwise, users can "opt-out" by clicking "unsubscribe" in the footer of an email they have already received. You will continue to receive non-promotional emails from House of Job (and, when appropriate, text messages) on the administration and security of your House of Job account. We may record our phone conversations with you for training, quality control, and verification purposes. These calls may result in the collection of personal


    Research

    You could occasionally receive an invitation from House of Job to take part in market or another research. This comprises research on the employment market as a whole and/or certain market segments, as well as research on our present or planned products and services ("Research"). At any time, you can choose not to receive invites for research.


    Contractors and Partners

    In addition, House of Job may occasionally divulge your Personal Information to its affiliated companies, but only in order to help those companies deliver and enhance the goods and services they offer to job seekers, advertisers, and other users of each of their websites and products, including but not limited to:

  • Product development to address market changes, customer needs, and requests. Product development to address market changes, customer needs, and requests.
  • Development and improvement of algorithms servicing product functionality (e.g., search recommendations).
  • IT security measures to benefit the protection of customer data.
  • Data aggregation to support customer experiences, support services, and data analytics. Ensuring the proper and more.

  • In order for House of Job and its related bodies corporate to improve and tailor the products and services offered to you, including providing you with relevant content based on your online activity, we may track or monitor your behavior on third-party websites if you are signed into your House of Job Profile on the Site and visit one of our related bodies corporate's websites. In accordance with their privacy policies and/or the Privacy Act, connected bodies corporate of House of Job may occasionally provide personal information to House of Job (as applicable).


    Storage & Security of Personal Information

    House of Job makes every effort to protect your information against unauthorized access, modification, and disclosure as well as misuse, interference, and loss of our system. You can view your information at any moment through House of Job to keep it correct and current. Any information we have on you is kept on secure servers that are protected in supervised facilities. Additionally, any Personal Information maintained by House of Job must be kept private and secret by both our job seeker and the employer who work with our information systems. House of Job will not be held liable for events brought on by unauthorized access to your personal information, with the exception of instances in which we have violated our duty under the Privacy Act to secure that information. House of Job is committed to abiding by all Privacy Act or GDPR requirements in the event of a data breach. By protecting the privacy of any passwords and accounts used on the Site, you can play a significant part in keeping your personal information secure. Any unauthorized use of your account by another Internet user or any other security breach involving your account must be reported to us immediately.


    Access to Your Information

    House of Job does not gather information about you that can be used to contact you personally unless you register as a user, sign up for Job Mail, submit an online job application, or register as an advertiser. If you register as a user, you can access the "Profile" section of the website at any time and alter or update your profile. Although you can unsubscribe from Job Mail, users who are Job Mail subscribers but are not Registered Users do not have access to this additional functionality. In addition, by visiting the Site, signing into your account, and visiting the "Settings" area, any user has the ability to request that House of Job erase any Personal Information held by us at any time. Candidates who have submitted an application for any position on the site should be informed that the advertiser to whom it is sent may also be in possession of their personal information; if you wish to obtain this information, please contact the advertiser directly.


    Data retention

    For as long as we continue to provide services to you and, especially, until you ask us to erase your Personal Information and Personal Data, we retain the information you give


    Feedback and Complaints about privacy and the House of Job website

    House of Job is open to suggestions and criticism for all elements of the Site. User comments are kept on file by House of Job. This input may be shared with House of Job partners in aggregate form or with specific identifying attributes removed in order to manage and improve the service we offer.
